Our Tennis @ Village Mill

Village Mill Tennis

We currently have a VERY healthy tennis program at Village Mill. We have Thursday Women's ALTA teams, Saturday men's ALTA teams and one Sunday Women's ALTA team. We have three mixed doubles ALTA teams and two Thursday Women's USTA teams.

In addition to ALTA and USTA, lots of people are playing K-Swiss and T2 Tennis leagues, which are individually scheduled. With all this activity, it is IMPERATIVE that you sign up for your courts ahead of time. There is a whiteboard (dry/wet erase markers only!!) next to the bridge for that purpose.

On another note, it is also important that you LOCK THE GATE to the courts when you are finished playing. We just put new locks on all three courts and the chain is locked to the fence and the lock is welded to the chain. Hopefully, this will prevent people taking the chains and locks. The locks are keyed to your current key, but they are a little sticky, so you may have to wiggle, work with the key a little bit to get the lock open.

We are constantly improving our tennis facilities The upper deck was just replaced, and the courts and walkway were pressured washed to eliminate any mildew that was slippery. We need everyone to help with trash removal and picking up any trash on the grounds. This is a VOLUNTEER club and it takes everyone to keep our facilities looking clean. Please do your part!!

Please let me know if you have suggestions/comments regarding tennis programs/facilities at Village Mill.

Regards,
Jeff Harvey

League Play

If you just aren't a "team" player, check out the K-Swiss league for singles (www.ultimatetennis.com) and T2Tennis
(www.t2tennis.com) for adult doubles, as well as junior singles. These leagues give you flexible scheduling on an individual basis.
