Message from VMNA

Hi Village Mill Neighbors!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and are excited about the upcoming year. I am excited to be the VMNA President and I look forward to a fun and successful year. A HUGE thank you to Julie Cole for all her hard work as President the last two years. Julie has brought a lot of energy and great ideas to the neighborhood and I have big shoes to fill, but am lucky to have a great group of volunteers to help me!

We have rescheduled the Ladies Social at Julie Cole's house (again thanks Julie!) for FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8 @ 7:30 p.m. Please try to come to this fun event. It's a great chance to get to chat and socialize during the winter when we are indoors and don't see our neighbors as much. It's also a great chance to see what exciting events are being planned for the year and an opportunity to give your input and make these events what you want them to be.

Cookbooks are still available for purchase - we still have plenty left to sell. If you have not yet purchased one, please do so!

Please contact Julie Smith: jmsmith97@bellsouth.netor 770-730-9867.You can drop off your 2013 dues check ($35) and pick up a cookbook ($5) all at once = $40

Thank You Village Mill!!! We look forward to a wonderful new year!

Jen Simmons, VMNA President

SaveDunwoody Wants Your Opinion

SaveDunwoody is a community group that is gathering public opinion feedback on the municipal projects that are under consideration in our city.

In particular, they are looking for feedback on the proposed roundabout at the intersection of Vermack and Womack . Since this intersection is adjacent to Village Mill, it is important that you make your opinions on the subject heard.

Please take a few minutes to respond by either mail or email. Participate by going on-line to SaveDunwoody.com. If you do not have a computer, please fill out the form in the 2/5/2013 edition of the Crier and mail the form to:

Romeo Events

FEBRUARY 11 - ROMEO Breakfast Meeting

ROMEO NEWS

The ROMEOS had a great turnout for our lively and very informative JANUARY meeting with Mr. Michael Smith, Director of Public Works, for the City Of Dunwoody as our honored guest speaker. Mr. Smith covered in detail the several projects that are receiving lots of copy in our neighborhood newspapers pro and con. He was also very gracious in listening to and noting our concerns in a very open Q & A exchange. We certainly left the meeting as a better informed citizenry for which we say thanks.

Our FEBRUARY breakfast meeting will be Monday February 11 at the Hickory House. We are extremely pleased that our U. S. Congressman, the Honorable Tom Price, will be our speaker. His visit with us could not come at a better time in our history. We are making arrangements for a large turnout.......DON'T MISS THIS MEETING WHICH SHOULD BE ONE TO REMEMBER.

For additional ROMEO info, please contact John Pleck, Chairman atPhone 770-396-6283 or E-mail john.pleck@yahoo.com
